Synopsis
The aim of this project was to develop a system and modularity-driven solution for designing installation systems for large retail public spaces for a better spatial experience. This project entailed design thinking at both the macro and micro levels: the former articulates use of thematic installations in large public spaces while the latter focuses on the detailing of design innovations in creating modular and reusable fixtures for the spatial configuration of various themes.
The final installation was versatile and designed to give a bipartite interpretation: the frontal view of a flower, and the lateral view of a butterfly. Apart from its ability to be transformed into three different structures by rearranging its entire tessellated form, it can also be made to float on water.
