Synopsis
The project aimed at designing and developing high-end ready-to-wear garments inspired by the Bollywood era of the 60sā70s. The theme was inspired by the characteristic cabaret dancers of the films of that decade. The design was also reflective of the attitude and the persona of the women of that era ā flamboyant and colourful.
The collection consisted of individual pieces like dresses, skirts, tops, saris and jackets. Prints were created clubbing together floral, bird and diamond motifs. The garments were ornamented using different materials like threads, tubes, beads, sequins, etc.
