Synopsis
The aim of this project was to develop the economical ‘family car’, the Tata Nano, into a woman-centric car. This vehicle will aim to suffice the mobility requirements of women of all ages – from early collegiate and working women to busy home-makers with kids.
The scope of work included designing an emotional interior styling combined with an exterior styling which exudes an independent and powerful image with regard to a unique but not clichéd appeal to women. Some features incorporated into the new design were soft-top sun roofs; co-driver seat that can be pulled towards the driver’s seat to increase physical proximity where the co passenger is a child; and under-seat storage for various feminine paraphernalia for clutter-free interiors, to name a few.
