Synopsis
The project aim was to produce a music video (to be broadcast on national television) for a track titled ‘Microphone’, performed by an upcoming alternative rap rock band. The four-minute animated video features the band performing against a backdrop narrative about a few young urban individuals trying to find their own means of self-expression. It inspires the youth about how they can channel passion into an instrument of leadership, whilst criticising the laid-back attitude of the larger percentage of the masses in the face of a
semi-dysfunctional world. The band performances were primarily shown in live action, while the narrative was an animated sequence using rotoscopy.
