Synopsis
The aim of this project was to create a travelling exhibition for display in various public and semi-public spaces in the state of Gujarat. The intention was to avoid the inertness and monumental aspect usually associated with museums, and replace it by engaging and involving the local youth.
The two exhibitions, ‘The Stone’ and ‘Undressing’ analysed human conditioning as a social imperative in today’s scenario of violent societies. The latter was a reactive installation. As its name suggests, the main objective of the installation was to help people ‘undress’ their inhibitions, hatred, prejudices and reticence. This interactive street art installation aimed to become a dialogue space where people voiced their opinions and exchanged thoughts.
