Synopsis
The brief called for designing and developing a collection for both the national and international wedding market. The design for the collection drew inspiration from the Mughal era – colour palettes, motifs, silhouettes, textures, embroidery and decorative elements. The block print designs were inspired by Indo-Islamic architectural elements like the floral patterns, the jharokha, the intricate lattice work, etc. The designed garments are aimed to be a contemporary take on the traditional look.
