Synopsis
This project was an in-depth analysis on speech recognition and voice user interfaces. The scope of work spanned the exploration of multi-sensory paradigms with due emphasis on voice and context-aware computing and the conceptualisation of next-generation concept system.
Design directions focused on the creation of voice user interfaces and an always-on virtual assistant who keeps a conversational interface with the user, that is, a complete solution where the assistant is context-aware and makes meaning out of what the user speaks about. The concepts were developed into a working prototype in the form of an application to be used in the field by users to make their task more efficient and error free.
