Synopsis
This film was inspired from the art of philately (aka stamp collecting). Once popular, the passion for this hobby is now fading. This film is an attempt to revisit this passion and explore its various facets. The distinct characteristic graphic style of stamps is the theme intrinsically explored in this film.
An old man receives a letter and out of sheer habit he proceeds to preserve the stamp affixed to the letter. Waiting for the stamp’s adhesive to wear off, he decides to leaf through his old stamp collection album which takes him on a nostalgic ride down memory lane. Several animation techniques ranging from
traditional hand-drawn animation to contemporary digital compositing were used to make this film.
