Synopsis
The design objective of this project was to create a line of commercial outfits for Spring-Summer 2013 keeping true to the brand identity of the client. These Ready to Wear (RTW) ensembles were targeted for the modern woman of a specific mind set, lifestyle and body type.
The collection drew inspiration from the theme which revolved around the idea of being in a state of enlightenment. This served as a base for all furtherdevelopments in the colour, look and surface work of the collection. Hues of earthy browns and forest greens, subtle saffrons and soothing blues were used on fabrics like silk, chanderi and khadi. Using a combination of placement ombré and stripes added uniqueness to the ethnic yet experimental collection.
