Synopsis
In a classic Bollywood-melodramatic vein, using sarcastic humour to depict alcohol-dependency issues in a common man’s life – especially domestic violence – this nine and a half minute animated film is targeted at the Indian masses.
Lakshami’s husband forcefully takes her golden bangles to satiate his addiction to alcohol: her tears cause a flood in her village. At the threat of being cast out, Lakshami chucks her husband’s alcohol bottle into the flood waters. What ensues is depicted in the film through an engaging climax. As the film moves back and forth in time and as every scene has a different range of moods, continually changing treatments and colour palettes were used throughout the duration of the film.
