Synopsis
This film is an attempt to create awareness about the rich craft heritage of India in the impressionable minds of young adolescent children. This film highlights in particular the traditional Rabari embroidery of the region of
Kachchh, Gujarat.
This educative, entertaining and interactive picture book tells the story of a young Rabari girl, Lacchu, who introduces a new motif into her regular, embroidery patterns. The odd design sticks out like a sore thumb and questions are raised. This leads the girl to embark on a journey of discovery – a discovery of her heritage, ancestry and eventually her own identity.
