Synopsis
The scope of work spanned the generation and development of innovative interaction design concepts for the interface of the client’s next generation electric vehicle. The communication between the physical and digital display and control elements with a reduced driver distraction were key pointers for the project. The design of a multimodal interaction model comprising of voice, gesture and touch interfaces was instrumental in providing a framework for the user-vehicle interactions.
The project concluded with an interface mock-up which materialised the vision of the possible interactive element in the vehicle. The layouts and structures were designed to be utilised as a core for further development in terms of aesthetics and manufacturability of the components.
