Synopsis
This project addresses the critical issues of rural financial inclusion especially that of access. A ‘bank on wheels’ was designed to serve up to 50 thousand people residing in the 23 villages situated in the vicinity of the bank’s
headquarters.
With a sideline entry for the women and floor seating arrangements, this relatively small vehicle of 38.1 square feet was designed specifically to be culturally-sensitive and cost-effective. Designed for better customer experience, its robust safety and security measures are clubbed with design for assembly and maintenance. This scalable model proposes to serve the financially excluded rural Indians.
