Synopsis

The prime objective of this project was to develop an exclusive range of silk and silk-blended home furnishing fabrics with contemporary designs. The various methods of fabric development involved weaving and machine embroidery. The home furnishing range included curtain fabrics, window panels and upholstery based on the reference boards and forecast for A/W 2013. Apart from this, an exclusive collection of fashion fabrics for women’s wear for high-end international brands was also developed. Since the collection targeted the overseas markets, floral and geometrical motifs were inspired from local European flora, Spanish tile work, Polish paper cutting, wrought iron furniture and Irish lace.
