Synopsis
The aim of this project was to design a typeface which works well in display sizes and is suitable for incorporating long headlines The design methodology used included the basic comparison of existing Indic typefaces and analysis for defining what problems should the new typeface solve. The character set was
extended to 892 glyphs which included 50 matra alternates and contextual alternates for a few characters. The overall form was improved to breakout from a solid grid-based design. A family of 8 condensed Devanagari fonts was developed.
