Synopsis
The aim of the project was to design a service that provides real-time visibility and assurance to the parents about the safety and comfort of their children (five to eleven years) during their flight journey as unaccompanied minors.
The key elements of the service include real-time tracking of flight status, access to the list of airline caregivers with their names and employee numbers, child monitoring through a live camera feed from the aircraft, baggage tracking, etc. All these functions are made available through a special app installed in the mobile phones and other smart devices of the four involved stakeholders – the parent, the unaccompanied minor, the airline caregiver and the guardian receiving the minor at the final destination.
