Synopsis
With job-related travelling on the rise, the project called for designing a bag which can convert from a daily office bag into a weekender. The benefits of both ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ came together in the unusual construction of this bag which was inspired from the traditional Japanese art of Furoshiki and Origami.
The two end products were designed to fold into multiple ways and transform into anything from a tote to a duffel bag to a weekender to a flat-pack; or from an A2 portfolio to a weekender to a flat-pack. Aesthetically rich in detail as well as highly functional, the bag aims to appeal to the taste of today’s fashion-oriented young working professionals.
