Synopsis
This film is an adapted screenplay based on a short story by Satyajit Ray titled ‘Mr Shasmal-er Shesh Raatri’ – a simple but affecting story with a moral message. The story revolves around two central characters, Adhir and Jayanta, the former always trying to stop the latter from indulging in fraudulent and felonious activities. The suspense builds up after Adhir gets shot by Jayanta. Does the murderer escape or does his guilt catch up with him? The film is targeted at the young adults to evoke a sense of morality and self-introspection.
Contrasting colour palettes to differentiate the various time jumps and strong light and shadow combinations were used to accentuate the suspenseful nature of this seven-minute film.
