Synopsis
The project revolved around the development of a Point of Sale (PoS) solution for last-mile retail, designing a User Interface (UI) for an android-based app and fashioning a sturdy and ergonomic tablet holder with a smooth clipping and unclipping mechanism for fast billing.
Following evaluation of the research and user testing, the final design of the UI was prototyped through approximately fifteen to thirty screens. The second product (the tablet holder) was a highly adjustable table mount that could rotate to 360° on the X-axis which in turn enabled the user to tilt the tablet at any desired angle.
