IV therapy is a common method for administering medicines and other fluids into the patient’s body in hospitals. The process is done using either gravity drips or infusion pumps, where accuracy is important. The probability of administration error in the therapy is high in most cases as the interactions in setting the drip rate is hard and infusion pumps technology is of high cost which cannot be leveraged to all the patients. This project was about trying to understand the problems associated with infusion therapy. The final deliverable of the project is a low cost product for administering the infusion therapy accurately considering all the problems within the hospital network.
