This project explores liminality—the transitional state between identities, spaces, and time—through a fusion of painting, sketching, cyanotypes, and photography. Liminality is often marked by uncertainty and introspection, yet it offers profound opportunities for transformation. The artist reflects on their evolving professional identity, transitioning from watercolorist to photographer to interdisciplinary artist and designer. By creating imagined landscapes and abstract visual narratives, the project captures the emotional complexity of being “in-between.” It seeks to make individuals feel seen and understood during moments of personal and professional transition, highlighting the beauty, discomfort, and potential of change. This work is relevant to contemporary art, design research, visual storytelling, and creative therapy, offering insights into identity formation, artistic evolution, and the psychological dimensions of transformation. It invites industries in fine arts, interdisciplinary design, and cultural studies to reconsider liminality as a space for innovation and self-discovery.
