Terracotta Decor for Interiors (working title)
Sustainable DesignHandcrafted MaterialsTerracotta CraftArtisan CollaborationCollectible Homeware.
This project emphasizes meaningful production and purchasing, focusing on the creation of objects that are relevant in today’s context. Sustainability goes beyond eco-friendly materials and processes, fostering a deeper connection between consumers and the objects they purchase. Handmade products, especially, create lasting bonds between the maker and buyer, with a narrative that enhances their value. This project seeks to challenge the perception of traditional terracotta pottery as low-end by presenting it as a premium, handcrafted material. Through a collection of terracotta products, the project aims to integrate the material into contemporary design, elevating its historical and cultural significance. By preserving traditional methods and promoting collaboration between designers and artisans, the project envisions a dynamic exchange that elevates terracotta, making it desirable for modern living spaces while celebrating the artisans' craftsmanship.
