The project involved designing two Ready-to-Wear collections, Autumn/Winter 2023 and Pre-Summer 2024, for The August Co., a conscious women’s wear brand based in Bengaluru. The collections were developed through extensive research into Indian consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive dynamics within the e-commerce fashion sector. Insights from this research guided the creation of stylish yet functional designs that align with the brand’s ethos. The project also explored the operational side of e-retail, including dropshipping, distribution, and logistics, ensuring a smooth online shopping experience. By incorporating data-driven decision-making, the project highlighted how consumer insights and market trends can shape designs and marketing strategies. This approach enabled a quick response to changing consumer demands, ensuring collections resonate with the target audience and are commercially viable. The project ultimately blended fashion design with e-commerce insights, offering a comprehensive learning experience.
