Every product or service must go through the last mile before reaching the customer, a critical phase in the logistics lifecycle. The efficiency of the rider in delivering orders on time while minimizing travel distance can significantly impact profit margins, especially for distributors with narrow margins. LOTR (Locus on the Road) aims to optimize this process. Although the product is scalable across industries, its current scalability has led to usability challenges that indirectly affect revenue. This project focuses on a comprehensive redesign of the LOTR Rider companion app to resolve usability issues. Through on-site research and analysis, the project will gain a deep understanding of the business, market, users, and technology. The goal is to redefine the app’s user experience, integrating existing features while streamlining on-ground operations. The final deliverables will include detailed design mock-ups and a functional prototype, providing a cohesive and efficient solution for improving order execution and information capture for riders.
