The Indian Agriculture Project
Social Impact GamesEmpathy-Driven DesignInteractive StorytellingSustainability in GamesEducational Game Development
The Indian Agriculture Project is a farming simulator designed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by farmers and their families in India. The game features a unique economy system that mirrors real-world agricultural practices, where the player manages various interconnected factors influencing farming and livelihood. It aims to foster a deeper understanding of the socio-economic, psychological, and physiological impacts of agriculture on farmers. By simulating the cause-and-effect relationship between player actions and these variables, the game creates an immersive experience that highlights the struggles of the agrarian community. While borrowing elements from management and simulation games, the focus is not on profit-driven farming but on the complexities of the agricultural lifestyle in India, including issues like unpredictable weather, financial challenges, and market volatility. Through this engaging gameplay, the project seeks to educate players, foster empathy, and initiate meaningful conversations around the realities of rural life and agriculture.
