Set on the outskirts of Guwahati, this coming-of-age animated film explores patriarchal expectations through the intimate, hand-drawn lens of two sisters. One stands at the threshold of puberty, grappling with societal pressures, while the other—a hyperactive, free-spirited child—sees the world with boundless curiosity. Their grandmother, a keeper of age-old traditions, becomes both a guiding force and a source of conflict as the sisters navigate the shifting emotions of growing up. The film employs expressive character animation to capture the girls’ evolving perspectives—subtle facial animation conveys the elder sister’s quiet introspection, while dynamic, exaggerated motion reflects the younger one’s playful energy. Soft, textured backgrounds immerse the audience in the rural Assamese setting, creating a nostalgic yet grounded visual aesthetic. Through fluid transitions and emotionally resonant storytelling, this film captures the confusion, warmth, and unbreakable bond of sisterhood in a world shaped by generational beliefs.
