Bloom is a tableware collection that brings attention to the traditional Indian craft of Pietra Dura, a marble inlay technique seen in the Taj Mahal. The project aims to introduce this historic art to the Indian retail market through decal application on ceramics. Inspired by the love story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz, the collection features floral and geometric motifs in a color palette of rich reds, blues, whites, and gold. The design process included research on craft clusters, user studies, market trends, and industry analysis to ensure relevance. From concept development to decal production and application, the project provided hands-on experience in the organized tableware sector, focusing on brand identity, target audience, and teamwork. Bloom reflects a blend of heritage and modern retail trends, making traditional craftsmanship more accessible.
