Photographs have long been vital in understanding the evolution of educational practices. By analyzing images from various time periods and regions, we can infer details about teacher-student interactions, classroom environments, and educational policies. The Jayanti Naik collection offers a diverse range of subjects, providing unique insights into the pedagogy of the institute and, more broadly, the development of design education in India. This project explores these photographs to reflect on how design education has evolved and shaped current teaching methodologies.
