Printed Narratives: Creating Apparel Collections for Women’s Wear.
Print DesignEthnic WearSurface EmbellishmentsCollection DevelopmentCultural Motifs
This project focuses on the creation of three print-driven apparel collections for Ganga Fashions: Bougainvillea, Bageecha, and Bloom in the Mundane. Each collection draws inspiration from nature and cultural motifs, aiming to highlight the role of prints in modern ethnic wear while ensuring commercial viability. The design process began with extensive research into thematic elements, followed by the development of original prints that captured the essence of nature and daily life. These prints were carefully applied to fabric using various print techniques, while silhouettes were tailored for both aesthetic appeal and wearability. The collections maintain a balance between creativity and market demand, ensuring they align with the brand’s identity. This project encapsulates the journey from initial concept development to final collection execution, providing insights into design challenges and innovations along the way.
