Assembling of a trauma

This project explores the intimate world of family life through everyday household objects—silent witnesses to evolving relationships, pivotal moments, and emotional landscapes. Often overlooked, these objects carry imprints of time, bearing the weight of healing, conflict, and transformation. Through a curated assemblage of personal journals, first-person narratives, and family archives, the project merges sculpture and photography to personify these objects as members of the family. Each object becomes a narrative focal point, embodying joy, sorrow, nostalgia, trauma, and growth. By highlighting these seemingly mundane items, the project reveals the deeper connections and histories residing within domestic spaces. These objects transcend mere functionality, becoming vessels of memory and familial legacy. By bringing them to the forefront, the project encourages viewers to reflect on the emotional significance of objects in their own lives, recognizing the unseen yet profound role they play in shaping identity and shared history.
