Sam’s Club is a division of Walmart Inc. and is the membership warehouse club solution for everyday living. Like many data-led organizations, Sam’s Club uses data to make a lot of strategic decisions to stay ahead of the competition and stay true to the strategy of customer obsession. In the complete lifecycle of data, there are many touch points and numerous stakeholders involved. It is important that the decision-makers have access to quality data to help them make the right decisions faster and with confidence.
As the enterprise data increases every year, maintaining data quality is a huge challenge. The enterprise hierarchy and the different silos make it difficult to access, store and maintain data. This calls for the need for a Data Governance Workspace that will serve as the backbone of Data Governance by enabling searchability, certification, and access to clean data and a Data Catalog that helps data users identify and understand data sets available to them.
This project explores various aspects of design that can help to build trust, transparency, engagement, and behavior change when dealing with large data points
