This project aims to combine two different highly successful game mechanics and tested strategies in the casual game industry and make a new product out of it. In the domain of casual games, two genres mainly dominate the industry; Match 3 and Merge. This project is a design exercise in combining these two highly successful casual game mechanics to create a game that can also appeal and create the immersive experience that the tried and tested genres can provide. The main focus of this project was on creating new mechanics and curating the gameplay experience through carefully strategized level design along with some new boosters and power ups for users to interact with.
This is an experimental game that allows a lot of varied paths for the designer to explore and for the users to have multiple approaches to complete a level. This makes it a unique experience to the casual game players and a well rounded design exercise as well.
