crème de la crème - literally translating to creamiest of the cream, is a project centered around developing print collections for bedding for Trident Group's international brands like Grace and Earth Lover. Pastels Euphorbia, Down to Earth, The Blue Serenade, and Indian Summer Nostalgia were the collections developed under these brands. These collections were based on the pre-washed aesthetics as well as the exploration of a range of natural material like hemp, linen, bamboo-cotton, etc. The designed beds went on to be a part of the USA Market Week display at New York for the Spring/Summer '23 season. Designing for these brands revolved around the technicalities of different kinds of post-process washing techniques, sustainable material choices, as well as varied printing methods. Print designs were then developed for W/L (width by length) rotary printing. Simultaneously, the manufacturing of top of the bed design articles was also discussed and developed. Off-beat developments like tea residue dyeing, discharge printing, and piece dyeing were also experimented with. On the completion of fabric printing, inputs on stitching, packaging, branding, and photography were also delivered.
