This project aimed to revive the Austin Motor Company by conceptualizing a 2030 design proposal that merges heritage with modern EV technology. Beginning with historical research, the team analyzed "Austinness" and user travel patterns. A mid-project shift, influenced by new leadership, introduced a vision combining retro aesthetics with electric vehicle innovation, tailored for Europe and the UK. Through trend research, brand analysis, and visual databases, the project developed user personas and theme boards to guide design decisions. The final concept featured a low-slung, fun vehicle, integrating Austin’s classic styling with sustainable electric mobility. This process involved extensive primary and secondary research, ensuring alignment with future trends. The project provided valuable insights into automotive design, offering a roadmap for redefining Austin’s identity in the evolving electric vehicle market. It showcased how legacy brands can innovate while staying true to their essence.
