It follows siblings Roohi and her younger brother, Dev, who visit their ancestral home after several years. As they explore the area and reminisce, they talk about their grandmother (Ammu). Roohi shares the circumstances of their move with Dev, who was too young to remember the details. They talk about the mystical stories Ammu used to tell them about the forest, debating if there is any truth to them. As they venture deeper into the forest, they begin to see and hear things that make them question their beliefs. They run into an old man or baba who intimidates and shoos them off, seeming to know who they are. Roohi wants answers and forces her brother to accompany her to the forest again. Despite the unsettling atmosphere and strange occurrences, Roohi is driven to seek answers and make sense of the past., Dev probes Roohi for more detail, and they run into the baba again. What follows is a reflection and shift in perspective for both siblings.
