The project aims to help individuals, both aspirant students and their parents, to cast away the shadow of doubt and confusion. Thus was the intent of the project to help students make their dreams come true. As in the words of Prof. Dumbledore, "You will also find that help will always be given to those who ask for it." Inspired by the same quote, the project deals with integrating technology and coming up with tools that people could use to select the best possible courses and career paths for themselves and also be able to afford their dreams.
Through a detailed study of the premise and the user group, specific problem areas are catered to in the construction of the product and the integration of the tools into it, keeping a particular focus on the usability and overall experience of the product. Though there are various elements in the final product, the challenge was to fit them together to create into an entity as a whole.
This document is intended to showcase the process, the multiple challenges faced, the turns are taken, the overall journey, and finally, the product that came out of the process. The final deliverable lies in the realm of a self-help tool + aggregation platform that would work on most digital devices (mobile and web).
The product Counsellor is a platform where students/parents can get a hyper-personalized ranking list of colleges /courses that suits them best. Fortify one's choice before selection, get information about their desired courses/Institutes and available financial aid, with personalised assistance, and much more. The simple premise being future selection and the pursuit of education are made easy.
