In this project, I will be mainly worked on word anagram game by the company, called Crossword Jam; where I focused on UX-heavy features that drove certain intended goals to improve player retention & engagement of new, mid & late game players. Throughout the project I identified opportunities for UX intervention with focus to increase player retention by introducing new features that incorporate feelings of ownership for the player & also working towards optimizing exisiting features in the game to make the player experience smoother and less jarry. With the intent and goals defined, throughout my internship I worked solely as UX designer in the Crossword Jam team, where I worked on major as well as minor feature. Earlier, there was no collection system within the game, upon identification on a need to make the game stronger in extrinsic drivers(identified in Octalysis) a major feature of introducing collection systems was prioritized in order for players to generate some ownership towards the game. I solely worked on designing the experience and player interactions to introduce this new system within the game.
