This Graduation Project is a compilation of the work done on the Washing Machine at IFB Industries, Goa, over a period of six months. The project's main aim is to generate a fresh concept for the next generation Washing Machine. These concepts are mainly derived from the insight and observations gained during the survey. How can one enhance the user's experience to an entirely new level? Earlier, washing machines were considered a luxury item. Now they are an essential part of the household. Moreover, how does the washing machine changes women's lives and ultimately helps them grow in society.
After research, four main design languages were chosen, they were: Innovative, Urban, Luxury, and Minimalism. Based on these, multiple concepts and 2D renders were generated. Analysing the current scenario and upcoming trends, a minimalist design language was chosen. New products should follow a minimalist design language and shall stand out in the market.
