This project conceptualizes a strategy for relaunching an old magazine named D/signed. D/signed was an annual in-house publication of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. The relaunch was intended for wide dissemination within the global design community along with design students in India. The system capable of being produced and sustained by the in-house team at the National Institute of Design has been addressed in this Project. The physical part of the magazine, like the number of pages, size, paper, typeface, etc., along with the back-end system like frequency, team structure, and content structure has been looked into. This project leans heavily on the research of other publications produced in NID and other institutes. It deals with the magazine's content strategy, which is inclusive of diverse voices of stakeholders in NID and beyond. The new design and content of the magazine reflect new narratives of design emerging with the institution, the current vision of NID, as well as its experimental pedagogy.
