This graduation project attempts to create a range of products for an educational environment that is flexible and suitable for blended learning.
The constant development in the number of educational institutions across the country has boosted awareness of the educational environment, including the kind of furniture, facilities given by the school, and the standard of the school. Many aspects have already altered in the educational domain as a result of Covid19, including the transition to online classrooms, assignments, and remote learning, among other things. This has been one of the most difficult challenges for the design industry and manufacturers in the last one to two years. Various brands in the area have already begun to assess the situation to provide new solutions.
Dovetail Furniture being the pioneer in the educational furniture industry for over 35 years, wants to envision the learning environment of the future and build a new line of school furniture that is comfortable, innovative, and flexible through this project. Thus creating a lively environment, allowing students greater learning freedom. The company also intends to present the project’s outcomes to the market, expanding its educational furniture line to keep up with the industry’s growing competitiveness.
Even though the project was rooted in the deep understanding of the current market and trends, the majority of the design decisions were made after a rigorous thinking process, several factors that affect during the production phase.
This project has resulted in making a range of educational furniture called the Flux series, which includes tablet chair, students chair, instructors chair, work surfaces, discussion surfaces, teachers table, and writing board.
This document attempts to narrate my experiments, challenges, successes, and failures during this project. The most essential aspect is my learning, which contributes to my personal and professional growth.
