Earth Tatva - Recycled Ceramics

The ceramic and glass design discipline at NID opened an array of opportunities to learn about different materials, techniques and domains to the student. While she spent her time learning new things, she realized that her interests were highly inclined towards home accessories and lifestyle. Making a product that look aesthetically pleasing and adding meaning to its surroundings excited her. She has also always wanted to do something which had a greater cause related to it and helps people or the environment somehow. The perfect opportunity to work on what excited her was provided by Earth Tatva- Recycled Ceramics.

The brief provided was to make a set of Tableware for the hospitality industry with the target audience being the luxury hotels. The founder, Mr. Shashank Nimkar was very humble and patient throughout the project and helped her derive deep insights and push harder to make the project successful. The document encloses all the questions, observations, and inferences gathered from the field which played a major role in molding this project into the outcome it is now. The experiences gained throughout this timeline did not just increase the knowledge regarding the material but also armed her with the mindset of not giving up.
