Klove studio, the sponsor, is a bespoke glass lighting and accessories design studio motivated to create sculptural objects for luxury-oriented consumers. She was drawn towards the ethereal aesthetics of the brand and has found herself connected to its philosophy.
The project brief was to design a series of lighting objects for home decor. The process starts with learning about the sponsor, studying the context of lighting as home decor and the material processes at Klove. The learning from studying the market, the client and their space is the basis for redefining the main project brief.
In addition to the main project, she has had the opportunity to work on several other projects at various stages of development. This provided a diverse industry experience that includes making efficient use of available resources and facilities, coordinating different teams and establishing relations with vendors and clients.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting quarantine had affected the emotional/mental health of a majority of people, including herself. The outcome of this project intends to provide an everlasting memory that helps us reconnect with nature. The project outcome consists of a set of lighting installations inspired by exotic tropical life designed to induce psychological and emotional pleasure. The whole process of developing products and the resulting collections give a peaceful yet exuberant experience to both the user and the maker
