As seasons change and new trends storm the market, people rush to their favourite stores ready to update their style and create new looks. Each design is carefully curated for the selected audience and this process has its own story, which amounts to a narrative defining and explaining the various steps, twists and turns from the preliminary idea to a crafted product.
This project begins from the foundation of a detailed research and data analysis that is key in predicting trends. Catering to the non-US adult bedding market for autumn-winter 22-23, it follows a detailed design process of understanding trends and selecting and experimenting with colours to create theme boards. It then explains design decisions and prints created through hand and digital mediums and draped to understand how they would look on duvet covers and sheets sets. Following different visual languages, three detailed collections were created and developed. Beyond that, it also showcases duvet and sheet patterns that are a part of the company’s collection and the thought processes behind them. To throw light on how each of the products are produced, a detailed account of various production practices is also mentioned which was collected through field research and live experiences. Adding fun and colour to the pages are mini kids’ collections and various client projects. To sum up the entire project, a live website was curated as a presentation technique for clients in this digital era.
