The project is an attempt to prevent Usta Kala from becoming extinct by studying the process and techniques used by the Usta craftspersons, system learning from material procurement to the consumer, how these craftspersons are handling this and how one can incorporate learning into this to make it better.
Analysing the sense of aesthetics from the Indian craft perspective, intense research was conducted to understand all the factors like market study, existing Products, history of the craft, new product possibilities with respective packaging of the product, and all other aspects for sales through commerce and e-commerce.

A field visit and market research were conducted following the COVID-19 safety protocol. Craft cluster visits and on-field experiences helped make decisions on design, understand its history, and gather accurate information about the craft. Several problems encountered during the visit and while cross-checking and filling the gaps added to a better understanding of the craft.
