Engineering Canvas is a documentation repository for the employees of ValueLabs so they can learn from past experiences and refer to others' learnings and processes to deliver their work faster. Think of it as a library of documented projects. It comes as the first step in the company's go-to-market strategy that establishes ValueLabs as one of the pioneers in providing IT and business solutions.

It started with the basic ground clearing to interpret the requirements, followed by interviewing a set of chosen people from diverse teams to understand what issues they faced with finding older, well-documented projects. Existing repositories in the company & their reasons for working/ not working were also explored. Next, a compilation & analysis of the whole information was done to refine the areas that needed to be worked upon. As information was gathered, structure, service blueprints and information architecture helped visualise a clear picture of the portal. These were finally translated into wireframes and tested. As per feedback, many of these steps were overlapping and repeated more than once. That's what the design process is!
