Honeywell International Inc. is an American, publicly traded multinational conglomerate headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. It primarily operates in four areas of business: Aerospace, Building Technologies (HBT), Performance Materials & Technologies (PMT), and Safety & Productivity Solutions (SPS).
Under Building Technologies (HBT), the aim is: “To provide a better personal and efficient service operations experience to technicians and Honeywell’s end customers (i.e-Building owners/ Managers) as a part of digital transformation and blue-sky thinking.”
This required an understanding of digital transformation and its future trends, how top players in the market are good at digital transformation, and their primary techniques. With an emotional appeal approach, the research also is based on how service is happening in Honeywell at the moment to find the areas of opportunity to improve.
With all this, the objective is: to create a self-help passive system/assistant for Field service providers and customers, with easy accessibility to perform the dedicated tasks and manage the service of the product, while having a lens of future blue-sky thinking towards the solution, which happens to be an AR Software for both the personas and also VUI for the field service provider. Lastly, the student designer was called upon to submit a concept report by the end of the tenure.
