As a member of the Game UX team at GetMega Games, I had the exciting opportunity to work on a new segment of casual games for our real money gaming platform. One of my main responsibilities was to redesign the user experience for a highly popular carrom game format, aiming to create a more intuitive interface that closely mimicked the real-world experience.
In this project, my focus was on capturing the essence of playing Carrom in person, ensuring that players would feel immersed in the game while enjoying the convenience of an online platform. By carefully studying the mechanics and dynamics of Carrom, I was able to redesign the user interface to closely resemble the physical game, with realistic graphics and intuitive controls. The aim was to make players feel as if they were playing on an actual carrom board, even in a virtual environment.
In addition to the carrom game, I had the opportunity to contribute to various other projects within the same gaming segment. One of my tasks involved creating a map and user flow for a couple of new games, ensuring that players could easily navigate through different levels and game modes. I paid close attention to the overall user experience, making sure that the interface was intuitive and visually appealing.
I was also responsible for designing and implementing tutorials for these games. Understanding the importance of providing clear instructions to players, I created interactive and informative tutorials that guided users through the gameplay mechanics, rules, and strategies. These tutorials were designed to cater to both new players who were unfamiliar with the games and experienced players looking to refine their skills.
This graduation project is a compilation of these projects in depth with my experience in working with a real money gaming company at GetMega.
