Hyper-casual games from the perspective of a business model and a combination of mechanics encourage ease of play. They are free, and that is why players tend to play these games at their leisure as they discover the mechanics with relative ease. The student realized that the hyper-casual market lacked ideas influenced by the rich history of Indian lore and mythology. The project focused on identifying parallels between the hyper-casual game mechanics from the Indian context. Once certain parallels started to shape, the student explored one subset of these ideas to identify how it could be designed into a hyper-casual experience that fits the players’ needs of the current market demographic.
