In the wake of COVID-19, there has been a paradigm shift in the nature of work environments all across with a majority of the workforce now working remotely. This project was undertaken with an aim to understand the work from home ecosystem in the context of India, the home-office furniture industry, and how Steelcase India can pivot and cater to the growing market needs in this segment. This project is a culmination of design research processes to understand consumer needs and perceptions. On the basis of that, the outcome has been to develop user and market insights for Steelcase to design and deliberate business and communication strategies for a new target audience—the employees working from home.
