Residency w/ HKU & Imitating the Dog Theatre Co.
This project is an exploration and an experiment into ways of making theatre in a post-COVID world where space is the scarcest resource in the context of theatre. Collaborating with varied disciplines helped find and create new solutions for this indefinitely long situation the whole world is going through. The new-found digital means of working with theatre which the student derived from this project allowed one to find non-hierarchical and rhizomatic ways of collaborating. With the whole team practicing shared and equal agency on the material made, the synthesised project reflected the physical and mental state of the artists throughout the lockdown. The reflective element of the project makes it more nuanced as it, albeit fictionally, documents these unpredictable times. The project blurs the lines between games, theatre, and film using post-truth as its backbone for storytelling.
